A long lasting, warm sounding string, that can add a little more dark punch to your guitar. If you like the warm, rich character of Hannabach or Augustine strings but prefer a little stiffer feel, a little more headroom, and faster attack, then the Hauser Strings are a great way to go.
Since 1875, Hauser Guitar Strings have been developed in a long and traditional way with professional expertise. Produced by hand and examined by specialists, Hauser Strings are available in three different tensions: Low, Medium, and High.
Trilogy Guitars is proud to be the Exclusive U.S. Distributor of Hauser Guitar Strings.
This is my review of the Hauser medium tension strings after trying
them for a solid 3 months period. The initial sound quality of each
string is surprisingly clear, clean and warm. It’s the kind of tone
that Mo. Pepe Romero has made his signature sound with the old
generation rectified Savarez yellow packages.
It’s overwhelming at first to find another packet of strings that has
the same tone on the trebles without the same tactile feel of the
Savarez, which takes extra skill to avoid production noise on the left
hand.
More experienced players who have had the opportunity to try their
favorite packet of strings on multiple guitars can tell you that the
medium tension doesn’t always feel medium on every guitar. The set up
properties of each instrument in achieving the best results to have an
active and responsive harmonic top greatly effects the overall tension
of the strings and how engaged they will become once put on.
I’m happy to report that Hauser strings are an exception and they
never fail to please under the fingers.
The basses are somewhat flexible similar to the Savarez chrome basses
and they have a certain focus that you’d always look for in a bass.
Overall, I’m very impressed to find these strings meet the very fine
subtleties that I feel I may be too picky about and they haven’t been
around for long either!
Best,
S.
