We love it when a builder calls us up to super excited about a set of back and sides or a top they just uncovered in their stores. In this case, it was Hermann Hauser III and he was absolutely thrilled about this Indian rosewood set…you read that right, INDIAN rosewood for a Hauser III. These do not come up very often, as Brazilian rosewood instruments are Hermann’s bread and butter, but if they were to all turn out like #660 then I for one would love to see more. It has a tremendous sound full of color and that distinct Hauser character but with a little added punch and power.
