This is the first instrument we have seen from Swiss builder Philippe Jean-Mairet and we are impressed. Jean-Mairet paired some excellent materials and great materials for this, top of his line, Konzert-Gitarre 3; from the energetically grained three-piece Brazilian back and equally impressive Brazilian sides to the unique and beautiful rosette. Soundwise, this guitar belongs on the warmer side of the spruce spectrum but it still retains a solid attack and repsonsiveness. If you like lush sounding spruce but still want some solid volume, this would be a great guitar to check out.
