There is a seemingly effortless elegance in instruments from second generation guitar builder, Mariano Tezanos. The woods really stand out as the focal point; the top, and its Meyer-Lemon hue, are given depth with the understated and super clean, two-tone rosette and purfling (and did you notice how his tiles in the purfling and rosette match his label? Beautiful!). The Madagascar back is joined without a center strip and works perfectly as the grain lines are so dramatic and really pop out. The polished fingerboard is a much commented on and favorite addition by both players and luthiers and the Fusteros complete Spanish look.

The weight and bite of the Madrid style is what immediately draws me into the sound but then the seamless connection, both across the registers and up the fingerboard, keeps my hands reaching for more music. This guitar is everything you wish your Spanish guitar was!
