This 2008 Humphrey is said to be one of the last if not the last guitar Tom made. The original owner took delivery just a few weeks before his unfortunate passing. The rosette is a very beautiful wood burned design, done by an artist named Tamara Codor, the same person who painted the back of Tom’s guitar that appeared on the cover of Soundboard magazine. It is very striking, as are the maple back and sides with their gorgeous figuring and in a mahogany-like rich hue finish. The bracing is lattice which gives it that loud, clear, and cutting power that Humphrey was known for.
