Andy stopped by the shop today and we decided to entice him with the 1937 Hauser I. This is a piece that will be on his new recording that he's currently funding on Kickstarter now: Click here
This reminds me of a concert here at the shop when a performer incorporated a passing fire engine siren into a small improvisation!

Here's a sneak peak of the new Hermann Hauser III guitar, #687, that will be coming to Trilogy in December. And it's not just any Hauser III, but instead the rarely made 1936 Model. Love the look of that maple binding!
Edit: I forgot to mention that this guitar comes complete with the original CITES papers! No need to worry about that beautiful Brazilian should you be the lucky owner of this instrument.

Time to hitch up the wagons and get ready for the whirlwind of guitar that is La Guitarra California! The concert lineup looks very solid (see below) and the vendor list is stellar. And to those of you heading to the festival, et me know if you want me to bring anything in particular.

I am having so much fun with the current google homepage!
It's very cool homage to Les Paul. I've been strumming and using my keyboard to come up with all sorts of tunes. Enjoy!

The show Soundcheck from WNYC had a great podcast earlier this week detailing three very cool and very different guitar exhibits around New York. Take a listen below to the podcast! I wish I was headed to New York soon but if any of you happen to make it let me know what you think!
Our friend David Schramm has put up another great post over on the Acoustic Guitar Message Board. This time, amidst some great information he has also linked to a video he took of the inside of the 1988 John Gilbert No.117 (originally belonging to David Russell) we just sold. Check it out below:
Here at the shop we talk and write about, listen to and play guitars all day...and we love it! And we love our wonderful clients especially when they send us cool E-mails like this:
"Been reading some on Bream. He is so utterly associated with Romanillos. But in looking at all of his historical recordings, its clear that the guy experimented with guitars like crazy. Reality is that he played Hausers as much as Romanillos. Here is the count:
'73 Romanillos: 9 records

David has responded to some inquiries about the design over at the excellent Acoustic Guitar "Classical Guitar" Forum. Here is what he wrote after being asked if the guitar was a copy or inspired by Friederich's designs:
