Michael Gee is one of our favorite luthiers here at Trilogy and one of the top builders in England. We are slated for one new guitar a year from him and so jumped on the opportunity to carry another of his instruments! This 1999 Gee falls nicely in the middle of “English Sound” when compared with Kevin Aram guitars, who builds a very organic, woody guitar and Christopher Dean guitars which are more robust, lushly warm. The Gee captures a little of the darkness, a little of the timbers, and has a great depth of sound; plus the neck has a great feel with its flattened-D shape.
