O.k. o.k., this guitar is not actually new to the inventory, but after a small repair and refinish this guitar really came alive and deserves a little spotlight. Built of German Spruce and Brazilian Rosewood this 1998 Bruck was our go-to guitar for illustrating the “textbook” separation that spruce guitars can offer, and while the tone had a nice woody quality to it; it just wasn’t capturing the attention of clients. We noticed one day that center seam had opened slightly so we decided to have it cleated and the top refinished. This gave us the perfect opportunity to remove the unnecessary tap-plate from the treble side (seen in the photos above) as well. We got the instrument back in the shop and we were blown away! The woody, separated tone had developed a touch of German warmth (glassiness) as well as healthy dosage of punch, giving it a quality to similar to that of a Sebastian Stenzel guitar.
