The Maple is a unique instrument that I feel matches the quality of an Imperial but does it in a more airy, cutting way. Where the Imperial is rounded and full the Maple adds a little bit more bite and a sharper definition. Built by Paulino for the fantastic guitarist and one of Bernabes’ longtime friends, Norbert Kraft (who watched him build this guitar by the way!), it is probably one of about 6 maples that Paulino ever built in his life. We found Bernabe’s full signature and building date inscribed on the cross brace.
